Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent team that resides in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting and engaging students in activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement living in a dedicated student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples; legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Willingness to relocate and live on-campus in Hershey, PA
- Completed individual employment applications by both spouses
