Job Summary
House Parents needed for Milton Hershey School to live on-campus and care for a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. The role starts as Full-time Flex Houseparents, with nine days on and three off, eventually transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Requires relocation to Hershey, PA, with relocation assistance and paid training; two-person married-couple eligibility; must be age 27+ per spouse; high school diploma or GED; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid U.S. driver’s license; commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and to Judeo-Christian chapel services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples – both must apply
