Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, full-time role for married couples living on-campus to care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living in a dedicated student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided, including medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and housing/meal benefits. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must complete individual applications. Location is in Hershey, PA (on-campus).
Required Qualifications

- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
