Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and development support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-on/three-off on-duty schedule with eventual placement in a consistent student home. Benefits include a salary of $46,917 per person (approx. $180,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and other employer-provided protections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
