Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with an eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (about $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and housing/meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
