Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (full-time) live on campus in student homes in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and budgeting with household reporting. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule, with potential transition to a placed Houseparent living in the same student home. Requires a two-person married couple team, both spouses aged 27+, and a high school diploma or GED, plus a valid US driver’s license and ability to drive student transportation. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on campus with students
- Ability to lead students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Experience with budgeting and household reporting
- Experience working with a group of 8–13 students
