Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational engagements, lead daily devotions, and accompany them to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment that fosters academic, emotional, and social growth. Upon hire, support various student homes on a nine-day-on, three-day-off rotation. Transition to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group after initial training. This role requires a legally married couple residing in Hershey, PA, with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
