Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA and jointly care for a cohort of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and supporting student wellness. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and transitions into a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Salary is $44,768 per person (about $168,000 total compensation per couple with housing and benefits), with relocation assistance and paid training provided. This is a two-person, married-couple position requiring both spouses to apply individually, aged 27 or older, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and PTO. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse, two-year marriage minimum
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Proficiency in leading devotions and coordinating Sunday Chapel
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
