Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA area, providing supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and eventual placement as a consistent Houseparent for the same student group. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to a student home arrangement and transition to a placed Houseparent role. Requires living on campus, on-site housing, paid training, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and a strong commitment to student development in a faith-informed, smoke-free, weapon-free campus environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Two-spouse two-person role for couples married at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
