Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, routines, medications administration, transportation to activities, developmentally appropriate programming, and devotional activities. The position begins with a nine-on, three-off cycle and later transitions to a placed houseparent living and working with the same student group in their home. The role emphasizes structure, family-like environment, budgeting oversight, and active engagement in students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; serve as role models for students
