Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in Hershey, PA, to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and a family-like environment for 8–13 students in a student home. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person and comprehensive health/retirement offerings, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Must complete individual employment applications for both spouses
