Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus in Hershey, PA provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of about 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living-and-working in the same student home. The position includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing/meal provisions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver''s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
