Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a group of 8–13 students while managing household routines and schedules. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and plan developmental and recreational engagements. Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting and household reporting. Follow a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. Transition to a Placed Houseparent role after initial support of various homes. Maintain a smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol-free environment. Both spouses must complete individual applications to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
