Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, followed-by-three-days-off schedule as Houseparents support various student homes, with eventual placement into a consistent home. Benefits include salary of $46,917 per person (about $180,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse couple must complete individual employment applications
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
