Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on an on-campus student home in Hershey, PA, providing care, supervision, guidance, and support for a group of roughly 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Compensation includes salary per person (~$46,917) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; the role requires a two-person, legally married couple, both spouses 27 or older, to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations (fish and one dog)
- Commitment to living as role models for students
- Experience with youth preferred
