Job Summary
Married couples needed as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role. Relocation is provided, with salary of $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits. This is a two-person role for legally married couples, with requirements including a high school diploma or GED, age 27+, and a valid driver’s license. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
