Job Summary
Two-person married couple on-campus House Parents role at Milton Hershey School providing supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation for activities, and engagement in developmental and recreational activities for 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off duty to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 with comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement, relocation assistance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Must be a legally married couple for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Smoking-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
