Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in a student home in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a group of about 813 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts as a Flex Houseparent in multiple homes with a nine-on, three-off schedule, then transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person role for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus (no alcohol on duty)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
