Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring approximately 813 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and providing household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
