Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living on campus in a student home, supervise and mentor a cohort of approximately 813 students, provide care and guidance, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent assignment with the same student group. The role includes relocation to Hershey, PA, and benefits such as comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse requirement for role (both spouses must apply)
- Two years married for eligibility
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Committment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol during duty
