Job Summary
House Parents - Relocation to Hershey, PA required. Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Roles include daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transporting students to activities, planning/reaping developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single home. Requires two-person, married-couple eligibility, two years married, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, driver’s license with van-certification ability, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
