Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, reside on campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel, plan and participate in developmental/recreational activities, manage routines and scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. The role follows a nine-on/three-off cycle during initial placement and may transition to a Placed Houseparent with the same group. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, relocation assistance, paid time off, and housing/meal provisions. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
