Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise, mentor, and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and housing reporting. Initially serving various student homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, they will transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided and total compensation for the couple includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, retirement options, paid time off, and on-duty housing/meals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
