Job Summary
House Parents (two-person, married couple) live on-campus in student homes to care for 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, and support. Responsibilities include daily routines, supervising schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home as a Placed Houseparent. Offers relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training as part of a full-time role in Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
