Job Summary
Married couples reside on Milton Hershey School campus as Full-time Flex Houseparents, supervising 8–13 students in an on-campus home, providing care, mentorship, and guidance; duties include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and chapel visits, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent assignment with the same student group.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Own the role of houseparent in a two-person household
