Job Summary
Two-person houseparent role for married couples living on-campus at Milton Hershey School. Residents supervise and mentor a group of about 813 students in on-campus homes, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on / three-days-off work cycle and eventual placement in a dedicated student home. Benefits include salary per person plus housing, meals, and comprehensive insurance; relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
