Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreation, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like environment. The role transitions from a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent arrangement, with on-campus housing provided. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be 27 or older, and complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spousal employment requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
