Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents living in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and supervision for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; compensation per person $46,917 plus benefits (approx. $180k total per couple). Requires married couples, both spouses completing individual applications; on-campus housing provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty)
- Experience with youth
- Proficiency in driving student home vans
