Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and development activities. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include relocation assistance and comprehensive insurance, paid time off, and other benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
