Job Summary
House Parents collaborate as a two-person, married couple to live on-campus and oversee a student home of about 813 youth. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role transitions from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent, requires relocation to Hershey, PA, and offers comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Candidates must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with eligibility to drive student vans, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and commit to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. This is a full-time, two-person position with salary per person of $44,768 plus benefits and housing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
