Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School reside on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and planning/development of students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. The role starts as Flex Houseparents with a nine-on/three-off schedule, eventually transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Requires a married couple, both spouses age 27+, with a high school diploma or GED; involves driving students, leading devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting responsibilities, and compliance with campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol). Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; compensation is $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple). Benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSA/FSA options, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
