Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students) and provide supervision, mentorship, routines, and activities, including administering medications, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a permanent Houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement benefits, and paid time off. Requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Both spouses must submit individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year of marriage or more for both spouses
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth (working or volunteering)
- Two-person role for couples living on-campus with students
