Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying to Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- MHS staff serve as role models for students
