Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on-campus in Hershey, PA (with relocation to Coshocton, OH). Couples reside in on-campus student homes and supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
