Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents, a two-person married couple living on-campus in student homes to supervise, mentor, and support a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine days on duty followed by three days off, then transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same student home. Benefits include salary per person around 44,768 with total couple compensation around 168,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse requirement for employment applications
- U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-person, married for at least two years role
