Job Summary
House Parents (Full-time Flex) at Milton Hershey School. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students) and provide care, supervision, and guidance, including daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Initially a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle with eventual placement into a single student-home assignment. Requires on-campus living, relocation to Hershey, PA, and compliance with campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol). Must be a legally married couple, with both spouses age 27+, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have a valid U.S. driver's license with ability to become certified to drive student home vans. Experience with youth is preferred. Salary is $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple with benefits) and relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
