Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes and supervising a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
