Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. They will reside in on-campus student homes with a group of ~8–13 students, providing care, supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and planning developmental and recreational activities. Roles transition from nine-on/three-off shifts to a Placed Houseparent with same students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, budgeting/reporting, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and ensuring student wellness. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples; must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus housing and meals included as part of compensation
- Planned schedule: nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model behavior for students
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Proven budgeting and reporting capabilities
- Comfort with driving students to activities
- Manage medication administration and student wellness
- Ability to plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities
- Evidence of reliability and teamwork in a two-person household setting
