Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, a two-person marital role where couples reside on-campus in student homes to supervise 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation is provided; location noted is Forsyth, GA (US) with on-campus residence required. Requires living as a married couple for each spouse, with both spouses completing individual employment applications; salary is approximately $46,917 per person (roughly $180,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Proficiency leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
