Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor ~813 students, manage household routines, medications, and student activities, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed houseparent over time. Requires a legally married couple, both aged 27 or older, with a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, experience with youth, and willingness to live on campus with a smoke- and weapon-free policy. Offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; salary $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 per couple) plus housing, meals, and more. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Two years of marriage minimum for eligibility
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Ability to work in a living-on-campus housing environment
- Planned shift schedule with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
