Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: married couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and advances to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person of $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year marriage minimum for consideration (two-person role)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to obtain certification to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside on-campus with students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth

- Must be legally married for at least two years
