Job Summary
House Parents oversee on-campus student homes for 8–13 youth, residing as a married couple in a two-person role. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting. Start with a nine-on / three-off schedule and transition to a placed houseparent living arrangement with the same group of students. Salary provided per person with relocation and comprehensive benefits; includes medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Access to on-campus housing for both spouses
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA (on-campus housing provided)
