Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring student wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and working a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. The role is a two-person, married-couple assignment with relocation to Hershey, PA, and comprehensive benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
