Job Summary
House Parents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle to a placed houseparent role. The position requires a two-person, married couple team, relocation to the Hershey area, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; compensation is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Chapel
