Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision/mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring wellness, transporting students to activities, planning/engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same students in their home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
