Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus House Parents (Flex) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, live in student homes and oversee a group of 8–13 students, providing care, supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in developmental and recreational activities. They lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, manage household routines and schedules, and handle budgeting and reporting. Initially, they follow a nine-on, three-off schedule and later transition to a Placed Houseparent with the same student group. Relocation and comprehensive benefits are included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
