Job Summary
House Parents needed at Milton Hershey School to join a married couple living on campus in Hershey, PA. The role involves full-time care and supervision of 8–13 students in an on-campus home, including daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and devotional activities, budgeting, and reporting. The position starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and progresses to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided;.salary per person is listed as $44,768 with total compensation for a couple around $168,000, including housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Proven ability to lead students in activities and devotional settings
