Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, administer medications, transport to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home; requires being married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
