Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents needed to reside on Milton Hershey School campuses in Franklin Springs, GA (on-campus homes near Hershey, PA). Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and reporting. At hire, couples follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual transition to a Fixed Houseparent role living in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being legally married for at least two years (both spouses 27+). Relocation assistance provided; on-site housing and training included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
