Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents are needed at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and progresses to a placed Houseparent model living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total compensation per couple when including housing and benefits). Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA on campus housing
